Sculpture Center Program Invites People to Discuss Personal & Community Narratives

Fri 8/19 @ 1-2:30PM

The current exhibit Dream Keeper at the Sculpture Center by Abigail DeVille, part of the current FRONT International Triennial, features multimedia immersive installations, both at the Sculpture Center and out in the community, that look at recovering forgotten narratives, especially those relating to African Americans, through storytelling.

This week, Cleveland photographer Gina Washington will lead a program based on that exhibit called “I AM: Identity in Community.” It begins with asking “Who are the Dream Keepers in Cleveland?” and asks participants to explore their own identities and place in the community. “Plan to ground your energy and express your creative self,” she says. “Group conversation will lead from there.”

The event is free and open to all. Registration is recommended. Go here.
