You know where everyone in Airport Harbor will be over the July 4th weekend. For 80 (!) years, the Lake County town on the lake has been pulling out all the stops to celebrate July 4 with its Mardi Gras weekend, featuring games, participatory sports and carnival activities of all types for all ages.
It kicks off with a parade on Friday July 1 @ 7pm. After that you can cruise the fairgrounds looking for an activity that appeals to you or your kids: Bubble Soccer, axe throwing, mechanical bull riding, jousting, an inflatable obstacle course, Extreme Cornhole, gelly ball, a bounce house, goat yoga and much, much more. Kid can enjoy free pace painting (they always do!), a family-friendly DJ dance party, and a petting zoo. Of course there are plenty of concessions to keep you fueled with food and drink.
Fireworks take place at dusk on July 3. And admission is free the entire weekend. It takes place at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Beach Park.
