Rock Hall Announces a Summer of Live Outdoor Music

The Rock Hall has announced this summer’s Rock Hall Live!, a full-to-bursting schedule of events taking place on the outdoor stage on its plaza. It features a diverse group of both local and national acts, with more to be added to the schedule. The season kicks off Memorial Day weekend and will continue into September.

Thursday evenings will feature free happy hours and Live & Local shows @ 8-10pm in July, August and September, while Friday nights in July and August will be headlined by national artists, both established and up-and-coming, with ticket prices from $15-$20.

The local band Thursdays start on July 1 with Lilieae and M.O.O.K.Y., followed on July 7 by Oregon Space Trail of Doom and John’s Little Sister. There’ll be a High School Rock Off Showcase on July 21, with bands such as Graham Parsons tribute New Soft Shoe, Free Black!, Elbow Room and Strange Notes later in the summer. Noted guitarist Adrian Belew is schedule for Friday July 22, and lo-fi indie rock darlings, famous for their very brief and numerous tunes, Dayton’s Guided by Voices, performs on Friday August 19.

There’ll also be Thursday happy hours from 5-7pm June through August, with food tricks, beer specials and live, local entertainment

The outdoor evenings include a beer garden with food and drink, Outdoor seating, pet-friendly areas, free motorcycle parking and Johnny Cash’s J.C. Unit One tour bus.
