New Show at the Convention Center Features Work by Two Noted Cleveland Artists

Work by George Kozmon

Thu 4/25-Fri 10/11

The Cleveland Convention Center Art Gallery opened last year on the center’s concourse level with an exhibit of works by sculptor David Deming and painter Samuel Roth.

This week it opens a new show by two Cleveland-area artists who have exhibited internationally, George Kozmon and Guy-Vincent. Symbiology features 45 mixed-media works that address the mechanics of image-making, using a diverse array of sizes, techniques and approaches. The two are long-time collaborators who have worked together on projects such as an art advocacy video project and Symbols, Glaciers & Ghosts at the Galleries at CSU.

“Our recent large-scale collaboration installation provided us the opportunity to investigate themes in our respective work,” says Guy-Vincent. “The collaborative process provides a unique perspective, as most artists typically work alone. It provides a rich convergence of both shared and contrasting elements from each other’s work.”

The show is open to the public Monday-Friday @ 8am-5pm, and will be on view through Fri 10/11. There’s no admission fee.
