While the West Side Market is open only four days a week, the West Side Market Café, tucked away on its Lorain Avenue side, is open every day but Sunday for breakfast and lunch (it keeps market hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and is open from 7am-3pm Tuesday and Thursday). Stop here before or after your shopping to feast on a breakfast of waffles, pancakes, omelets, or eggs benedict, or a king-size burger, sandwich, or salad. The Café adds some gourmet touches to diner classics, but the food — especially the breakfast — doesn’t have high-end prices. For instance, a fried egg sandwich with bacon and cheese is less than $5; eggs, home fries & toast only $3.50.
