Get acquainted w/ video art @ SPACES. On Thu 1/20, catch a screening of David Wojnarowicz’s controversial work A Fire in My Belly, which has been banned in certain locales.

SPACES is hosting quarterly viewings of video art from The Vault-a converted walk-in safe where audiences can select from a variety of video and audio art via a remote control in their hands.

From the dozens of video works housed in The Vault, one hour of selected works will be chosen for viewing. For this inaugural screening, we will be viewing the controversial work A Fire In My Belly by David Wojnarowicz that was recently censored from an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.

Other artists featured in the screening include: Michael MacGarry (South Africa), Nandipha Mntambo (South Africa), Dario Solman (Queens, NY), and Eric Rippert (Cleveland).
