Israeli master violinist Pinchas Zuckerman performs tonight at Blossom Music Center in an evening that featuring not just one but TWO orchestras. The Kent/Blossom Chamber Orchestra conducted by Brett Mitchell opens the evening with Andrew Norman’s 2010 “The Great Swiftness” and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8.
Then Zuckerman will join the Cleveland Orchestra, led by conductor Hans Graf, to play a Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5; they’re precede it with Paul Hindemith’s Cupid and Psyche: A Ballet Overture. Finally, both orchestras will join the perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 (“Pathétique”)
