Central Ohio’s Angela Perley returns to the Music Box Supper Club with her band, Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons, bringing her fierce roots rock that shakes up blues and classic rock with a dollop of punk spirit. Perley’s voice has a fierce edge to it that gives the music a fiery emotional punch.
The quartet’s released four EPs since they formed in 2009, but this year they went for broke with a full-length album titled Hey Kid, released in January. The well-rounded selection of tunes range from the raging “Bad Reputation” (not the Joan Jett song, but fiercer) to the rueful, reflective “Down and Drunk” to the strutting “Hurricane.”
Admission is $7, which also includes your first drink.
