Melt Donates to the September APL Telethon. We are honored and proud to again partner with the Cleveland APL for their annual FOX 8 telethon in September. As part of the partnership Melt donated a percentage of food sales to the APL from the weekend of the telethon in September. The donation for $7,400 was presented to the Cleveland APL recently. The funds raised will go directly to help homeless animals in NEO. Thank you for everyone who supported Melt and also supported the APL during the telethon and all year long.
Melt Bar and Grilled Poster Book “Sandwich Anarchy” is Released. Artist John G. is the man who creates the super-cool posters for Melt Bar and Grilled sandwiches. After illustrating posters for more than 200 sandwiches, John G. has compiled the best into Sandwich Anarchy: The Cult Culinary Posters of Melt Bar and Grilled. “Initially, I made one poster for one restaurant for one month,” says John G. “And now, I’ve created 250 posters for Melt’s 11 locations over 10 years. Surreal.”
Melt Bar and Grilled owner and founder Matt Fish has always loved the look of concert “gig posters” and says, “Watching our crazy grilled cheese creations come to life each month in the eyes of John G. is nothing short of awesome!”
Fans of the Melt posters can get their hands on a copy of Sandwich Anarchy at any Melt Bar and Grilled location or it will be available online via Amazon and in local Cleveland and Columbus bookstores.
Posters included in Sandwich Anarchy are the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Melt (which is the poster most often stolen from Melt’s walls); the Brat Pack Breakfast Club Melt; and a shimmering, glitter ball-inspired Tight Trousered Travolta, as well as the Ramones, Spinal Tap, and Gizmo from Gremlins.
“What a trip to see these posters have a life well beyond the month they were intended for,” says John G. “To revisit the last decade of artwork to assemble this collection has been a blast.”

Samuel Smith has never kegged their beer outside of England ever. This is the first time in the history of Samuel Smith that we will be able to enjoy their amazing beer on tap. Ohio is one of a couple of states that is able to drink Oatmeal stout on draft. Enjoy this classic beer while the beer is available, it will not last.
Heavy Seas Partner Ship Series with Mad Tree brewery from Cincinnati will be tapped in all locations November 20th. The Partner Ships are bold and unique beers brewed at Heavy Seas Beer in Baltimore, MD. Born of friendship, creativity, and a boundless sense of adventure, the Partner Ships celebrate the spirit of American craft beer today. Heavy Seas and Mad Tree brewed a Wee Heavy or Scotch Ale and was brewed with Burundi Mpanga coffee from Deeper Roots in Cincinnati, Ethiopian Harrar coffee from Chesapeake Bay Roasting Co. in Baltimore and cocoa nibs from Maverick Chocolate in Cincinnati, this robust brew is loaded with local flavor. Deep mahogany in color with layers of malt, chocolate, and roasted complexity.
