Brews + Prose Kicks Off the Year With a Poet and Story Writer at Market Garden Brewery

Tue 1/7 @ 7PM

The Brews + Prose series, taking place at Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City, is back to kick off its 2020 series of readings/social events. This month it’ll feature a pair of young women writers: Denver-based short story author Liz Breazeale and Tennessee-based poet Allison Pitinii Davis.

Breazeale, who has an MFA from Bowling Green State University, published her book Extinction Events: Stories this year. She’s had her work appear in many literary publications such as the Kenyon Review Online, New Ohio Review and Sycamore Review.

Davis published her second book, Line Study of Motel Clerk, in 2017, and was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award in Poetry. She’s a PhD candidate at the University of Tennessee and edits Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts.

The event is free and open to all. Drinks will be available for purchase, along with the author’s books.
