The Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation has just announced the lineup for its William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series, 2025-2026 season, taking place at Case Western Reserve University’s Maltz Performing Arts Center.

The diverse six-author series starts on Friday September 26 with British author Ian McEwan (pictured), who has been nominated six times for England’s top literary award, the Booker Prize, which he won in 1998. He’s written screenplays, children’s books and political essays but is best known for his psychologically complex novels. His latest book, What We Can Know, will be out just in time for his September appearance, and all attendees at his talk will get a free copy included with their ticket.

Malcolm Gladwell, author of six New York Times bestsellers, including the much-cited The Tipping Point, exploring social epidemics and how they happen, will talk on October 28. Those attending his talk will get a copy of his follow-up of last year, The Revenge of the Tipping Point. Novelist Liz Moore will speak on November 3. Her latest book, The God of the Woods, was included on Barack Obama’s Summer Reading List.

Next year’s programs include fantasy/literary fiction writer R.F Kuang on March 5; journalist/The New Yorker staff writer Patrick Radden Keefe on April 28; and N.K. Jemisin, an author of speculative fiction, on May 12.

Subscription packages for all six talks go on sale to the general public on August 14. Go here or call writerscenterstage.org 216.368.6062.

All proceeds support the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
