Sat 7/8 @ 3PM
Fairport Harbor’s annual summer concert, Reggae in the Harbor, returns this weekend for the third year, offering a lineup of bands who play, or are influenced by, quintessential sunny summer vibes of this Jamaican music genre.
The five-band bill kicks off with local reggae/dub quartet Lake Irie at 3pm, followed by Pittsburgh’s FUBAR at 4pm and Charlotte, N.C. reggae rockers Sun-Dried Vibes at 6. At 6:45, the enduringly popular Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band bring their positivity to the stage, and at 8:15pm Columbus, Ohio’s Quasi Kings, who play that popular blend of reggae with rock and hip-hop, led by brothers Zach & Bennie Coleman, wrap things up.
In addition to bands, there’ll be a bunch of food trucks offering a range of different types of eats. Alcohol will be available for sale to those 21 and over, but yu can’t bring any in.
“Vendors usually set up early for our event!” they say. “Please feel free to come walk the grounds, visit the beach, and shop our quaint downtown!”
“The grounds” would be the Lighthouse Hill Amphitheater along the lake in downtown Fairport Harbor.
