Columbus punk rockers New Bomb Turks tore their way through the ’90s after dropping their bombshell album !!Destroy-Oh-Boy!! in 1993. It was a golden era for underground/punk-infused bands, and they rode the wave with eight more albums in the following decade.
After that though, they punted to day jobs and other interests (vocalist Eric Davidson, a Cleveland native, penned a book published in 2010 about the era’s underground punk scene) with an occasional reunion show here and there. Now they’re on a short reunion tour with Seattle punk-rock veterans the Drowns, which brings them to Cleveland’s Beachland Tavern this weekend. DJ Matt Feeney will be spinning between sets.
