Anyone who was hanging around the big Cleveland-area dance clubs, such as the Agora, the Longhorn, the Corral or Utopia, in the mid 70s, probably heard songs like “Can’t Get Enough,” “Movin’ On,” “Rock Steady” and “Ready for Love” in their sleep.  The tracks from Bad Company’s self-titled 1974 were staples of every bar band’s repertoire. If you were there, you probably still know them by heart.

But you’ve never heard them like you can hear them at the Music Box Super Club as part of its Immersive Sound Listening Party series. The monthly event features a music-related host sharing a classic album on the club’s new immersive sound system using technology developed in Cleveland by Frank Foti of Telos Alliance and chief engineer at WMMS in its heyday), adding new processing equipment, speakers and amps to the club’s existing sound system. The host will play the album, tell some of the stories behind it and talk about why it’s important to them.

This month’s host is local artist manger (and one-time WMMS air personality) David Spero, who’s snagged a special guest for the evening: Bad Company’s legendary singer Paul Rodgers who’ll join the event virtually for a livestreamed conversation.

But wait! There’s more! The audience at the Music Box will get to hear the brand-new Bad Company album on the immersive sound system. Tickets are $10 in advance, $14 day of show. A full dining menu is available and doors open at 6pm for dinner.
