Monthly Musicians Workshop Shares Info for Musicians Who Want to Do Soundtrack Work

Mon 7/20 @ 7-9PM

The monthly musicians workshop, hosted by Cleveland Rocks: Past Present and Future to educate musicians about ways to advance their careers gets a little bit out in the weeds this month. But it provides essential information for musicians looking to get involved with film soundtrack work. Speaker Abraham Bradshaw, who has worked as a music supervisor for films, TV shows, commericals and documentaries for more than 20 years, will talk about music supervision and sync licensing and explain how the process works. He’ll be joined by composer Silas Hie who will talk about how composers work with music supervisors to create a film soundtrack.

Following the panel discussion and Q&A is the 2×4 musician show cast, where four area musicians play two songs each. Performing this month are Susan Carson, Sam Poetry, PXVBS and one more TBA. It takes place at the Cleveland Rocks shop on Waterloo Road. It’s free and open to all. Go here for more information.
