The Schoolhouse Rock series of animated programs educated two generations of youngsters about subjects such as grammar, math and science while entertaining them during its runs in the ’70s and ’90s.
Those shows provide the basis for the live stage production Schoolhouse Rock Live!, aimed at educating and entertaining the current generation of youngster. Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is the shorter version (just over an hour), geared to younger kids, but still packed with tunes such as “Conjunction Junction,” “Three Is a Magic Number,” “A Nough Is a Person, Place or Thing,” and “Great American Melting Pot” (Someone, buy Donald Trump a ticket!)
Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. will be at the Akron Civic Theatre for one performace only. Adult tickets are $10; children 3-12 are $5; 2 and under are free.
