All of June is Pride month, so the celebrations aren’t quite over yet. This weekend, Cleveland Heights is hosting Pride in the Park at its premiere public space, Cain Park. I mean, why waste an opportunity to utilize its two performance spaces?
Both will be hosting a variety of entertainment all afternoon, with Drag Storytime kicking things off in the Alma Theatre at noon, followed by a bubble show, a drag show, a vogue shoe, Dreamstates, and unique and colorful Akron musician Angie Haze. Over in the Evans amphitheater, there’s female R&B trio S.Y.S., Trav Hen, the North Coast Men’s Chorus, Windsong women’s chorus, Aphiniti and DJ CocoZ.
In addition, all afternoon Lake Erie ink will have an activity table, and there’ll be an interactive art piece to bork on. Wizbang Circus will demonstrate their diverse talents at 1:20 and the foam party starts at 2!
There’ll also be five food trucks with a variety of both hearty food and sweets, as well as coffee, and a variety of local vendors and organizations with information tables, including the opportunity to register to vote and help kick out state lawmakers who want to trample LGBTQ rights.
It’s free and open to all.
