Cleveland’s Ohio Contemporary Ballet will be featured in a program called A Celebration of Filipino Music & Dance, presented by Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) at the James McIlvaine Performing Arts Center at Wadsworth High School in Wadsworth.
It’s the final event of ORMACO’s fall 2026 World Tour of Music, exploring the culture of the Philippines. It includes a new piece by Filipino-American choreographer/company rehearsal director Zachary Tuazon who was inspired by his own heritage to mingle contemporary ballet with Pinoy jazz. The performance will included contributions from Wadsworth High School students. Ohio Contemporary Ballet will also be doing community outreach events at schools, senior facilities and a detention center around the show date.
“This performance embodies everything we believe in as a company: celebrating diverse voices, investing in our artists, and building community through dance,” says Ohio Contemporary Ballet’s Producing Artistic Director Dr. Margaret Carlson. Go HERE for more information and tickets.
