Sat 10/10 @ 7PM
Neighborhood Pets, a Slavic Village-based nonprofit, does the work of angels — providing food, pet supplies, medications, vaccinations and vet care to low-income pet owners so they don’t have to give up their furry companions. Tails from the Neighborhood, taking place at Near West Theatre in Gordon Square, is a celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary and a benefit to help them continue their work.
The evening will feature cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres courtesy of the Vegan Fund, Philomena Bakery, Cleveland Cupcake Company, Market Garden and more; music by Brazilian guitarist/vocalist Moises Borges, classical chamber ensemble Opus 216, and DJ Sqr Biz; raffles and silent auction; a photo booth, an interactive community art activity hosed by the Rainey Institute; and what’s described as “inspiring stories from special guests.” Any four-legged ones, perhaps?
