The Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation and Case Western Reserve University have lined up a diverse roster of six authors for the 23rd season of their William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage series, taking place at the Maltz Performing Arts Center on the CWRU campus.
The season starts on Monday September 14 with novelist/essayist/memoirist Jesmyn Ward, a Mississippi native who has used her home state as the background for many of her books, dealing with race, family and the rural south. She’s the only woman/person of color to win two National Book Awards for Fiction (in 2011 and 2017), and also received the 2022 Library of Congress Prize for Fiction. Her books includes Let Us Descend, Where the Line Bleeds, Sing, Unburied, Salvage the Bones, Men We Reaped, and On Witness and Respair: Essays. To get tickets, go here.
