Thu 3/5 @ 8PM
Avant-garde musicians, harpist Stephan Haluska, who champions cutting edge music as director of Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project, and flutist Robert Dick, have been playing together since 2022, looking for new ways to utilize the flute/harp duo, which has been a standard part of the classical music repertoire since the 1700s. They incorporate non-traditional uses of their instruments as well as improvisation into their music.
Last year, they teamed up with upright bassist James Ilgenfritz to release an album called Time Wants a Skeleton on the Infrequent Seams label, the second such collaboration for Dick and Haluska. As a trio, they continue to explore the outer edges of what their instruments can do with an open-ended approach to musical interaction. Now they’re share that music in concert at the BOP STOP. Get tickets here. The concert will also be livestreamed on the BOP STOP’s YouTube channel.
