Sun 3/1 @ 3PM

Arts Renaissance Tremont, which presents free Sunday afternoon concerts at Pilgrim Church, is going conceptual for its next program, which they’re dubbed “The ART of Influence.”

It features four pairs of musicians, one of whom once served as teacher/mentor to the other, who is now an artistic peer. They include horn players Richard Koing and Meghan Guegold Hege, both members of the Cleveland Orchestra — King since 1988, Hege since 2023; Cleveland Orchestra percussionists, Thomas Sherwood and his student Tanner Tanyeri; Cleveland Orchestra principal oboe player Frank Rosenwein and his student Adrian Gonzales; and violinists Mari Sato and James Thompson. They’ll be accompanied by pianist Joanna Huang. They’ll not only play but they’ll also talk about how careers are built through mentorship and the passing on of knowledge.

The concert is free and open to all.
