Bruce Checefsky has a long resume as an experimental filmmaker and photographer, who pushes the boundaries of those mediums both technically and conceptually. (He’s also known as an advocate for the arts and writer for CoolCleveland.com among other publications).
His show at the Foothill Galleries in Cleveland Heights features a new body of work called Beyond Decay. In it he used a flatbed scanner to make detailed still-life images that “poetically reveal the unsettling allure of decay,” according to gallerist Michael Weil’s press release.
The show opens with a reception on Wednesday February 25 from 5-7 p.m.
