NEWS: Morgan Conservatory Accepting Applicants for Professional Papermaking Course

Through January 15

The Morgan Conservatory, which specializes in paper-based arts, from growing the bark to make paper all the way to the finished product, has announced a new Certificate in Professional Papermaking, which they’ve asked us to share.

“This educational six-week program is designed for those who wish to pursue a career as a professional and/or collaborative papermaker,” they say. “An intensive, full-time program concentrating first on strengthening and refining technical skills in Eastern papermaking and Western papermaking, it will then apply those skills to contemporary techniques culminating in a collaborative project with an established visiting artist. Prior knowledge of papermaking is required. A maximum of four students will be accepted in this first year.”

The program runs June 15-July 25, 2026. It’s accepting applications through January 15 and will notify applications on February 15. Go here to learn more and apply.
