Sun 11/23 @ 4:30-6:30PM
Violinist Ed Caner has been a longtime and diverse presence on the Cleveland music scene, performing in orchestras, as well as experimental rock bands back in the 90s, and then with his wife Laurie Michelle Caner as part of one of the area’s best American/roots rock bands, Hey Mavis. He’s also been a longtime presence at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, including hosting Sunday concerts at Happy Days Lodge there.
He’ll be bringing his fiddle there this Sunday, along with a couple of guest performers who are also longtime stalwarts of the local music scene: Austin Walkin’ Cane Charanghat, known for his mastery of slide guitar and his soulful Delta blues, and singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Allen, who first established himself 30 years ago with the band Rosavelt, and has gone on to perform solo and collaborate with friends in bands such as the seasonal Ohio City Singers. And Allen and Charanghat have known each other since they were kids. Between them, they’ve got one hell of a repertoire.
Doors open at 4; music starts at 4:30. There’s a cash bar. Get tickets here.
