Thu 11/20 @ 7-8:30PM
The main mission of Art House Inc in Cleveland’s west side Brooklyn Centre neighborhood is to engage people of all ages and levels of experience in hands-on artmaking, with classes and open studios that welcome all.
Every few months, Art House hosts Community Culture Night, which usually features a successful local artist talking about the career and their practice. This month’s Community Culture Night speaks directly to the kind of people who come to art house to create. It features a round-table discussion with the leaders of three area arts organization that host studios, glasses and art displays. Robin Robinson is the leader of Sankofa Fine Arts in Glenville, a 25+-year-old organization that encourages and promotes Black artists. Jackie Feldman is the executive director of Zygote Press, which specializes in the printmaking arts, and Nicole Donnelly runs the Morgan Conservatory, focusing on papermaking (her specialty) and artist bookmaking, as well as any art based on paper. They’ll share the many opportunities to be creative that Cleveland offers.
The evening is free and open to all. RSVP here.
