Pride in the CLE, which has been Cleveland’s official Pride celebration since the nearly three-decade Cleveland Pride folded in 2017, is more than a celebration, especially now: it’s a show of strength and solidarity in the face of backsliding attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a place where ALL are welcome no matter what you look like or how you identify.

The event kicks off at 11am with the parade which steps off at Public Square and wends its way to the festival site at Malls B and C. After the parade, there’s a dizzying amount of stuff to do, see, eat, drink, buy and learn with information and vendor booths, an array of food and drink options, and loads of entertainment. There are nine DJ/MCs including DJ/MC Brittany “DJ Red-I” Benton, DJ Glam Girl, and Adore the DJ; drag artists, including but not limited to, popular GlamGore host Anhedonia Delight, local Latina dragster Ariyah Fuego, singing drag star Monica Mod and Mexico’s Vermelha Noir; hula hooper Kitty Deluxe; aerialist Hannah Weiss; and of course, music acts — lots of music acts — punkish indie rockers Girl Cologne, veteran bluesy rockers Mary Martin & the Tuna Band, soul trio S.Y.S., Canton rockers The Scenic Route, the Cleveland Pride Band, the Cleveland Transgender Choir, the North Coast Men’s Chorus and even a Hedwig and the Angry Inch tribute called 45 Ballerinas. And yes, Cleveland’s favorite soulful rockers Apostle Jones are on the bill too, of course.

Pride in the CLE is free and open to all who are open to celebrating people of all types. There’s also a variety of spinoff events going on all week and well into the evening hours on Saturday, so the partying doesn’t have to stop at 6. Get complete information here.
