Mulberry Creek Herb Farm's "Mulberry Market" Features Food, Drink, Vendors, Talks & Tours

Sat 6/21 @10AM-5PM

Sun 6/22 @ 10AM-4PM

Mulberry Creek Herb Farm in Huron is one of northeast Ohio’s hidden treasures. The all-organic family-owned farm has the widest array of different herbs you’re likely to find anywhere, along with perennials, “fairy” plants, succulents, vegetable starters and gardening supplies. It’s on a sprawling property with a meadow, barn, display garden and picnic shelter, as well as a new wine tasting room opened just last year by owners Karen and Mark Langan’s son Ben.

Each year, toward the end of the planting season, Mulberry Creek hosts a weekend festival known for years as the Herb Fest but now as the Mulberry Market, to reflect its broadened scope. It still features some three dozen vendors offering handmade items ranging from jewelry to pasta to stationery to garden décor, food (including Mitchell’s ice cream) and drink, and demos and talks in the pavilion. This year’s theme is “Cocktail Gardening,” so talks with teach you how to use herbs to make the perfect summer drink. At 12:30 each day Mark Langan will conduct at tour of the pollinator garden, and at 2:30 each day Ben Langan will lead a tour of his new Mulberry Creek winemaking facility.

It’s a great day to get out in the country, breathe some fresh air, and hang out, and …. let’s be honest — go home with a bunch of nice-smelling plants you didn’t intend to buy. (Many of them will be on sale!) Admission is free so of course you’ll shop. Find a full schedule here.
