Children’s Museum Invites Adults to Re-Live Their Prom

Sat 6/7 @ 6:30-9PM

For some reason, from time to time, some organization or venue will sponsor a prom for adults, often billed as an opportunity for those who didn’t go to their high school prom (LGBTQ+ proms are common). The Children’s Museum of Cleveland is billing its Prom Rewind event as a chance to re-live the “magic” of one’s prom, which sounds chancy. (Full confession: I didn’t go to mine and didn’t regret it for a single moment.)

Anyway, it’s a chance for grownups to dress up, have some fun and support the work of the museum. Attendees are asked to wear formal wear for the evening of music, dancing, a karaoke lounge, lawn games and craft stations. Craft stations? Did your prom have craft stations? Guests will also get to explore the museum and do kid stuff, even though this event is strictly 18 and over. The event also provides light snacks, two drink tickets and a keepsake photo with each admission.

For tickets go here. They promise that your sour-faced history teacher won’t be chaperoning.
