The Greyt Big Talks, sponsored by Thomas Fox’s Greyt Culture, are breakfast talks that offer a light breakfast, some community creative input with start-up pitches for projects people are working on, and a short talk by someone who does something creative or entrepreneurial. They take place a different locations around Cleveland, exposing people to some of the new businesses and developments going up.
That’s the case this month when it’s at Globe Iron, the music venue in the Flats which opened at the beginning of May. It’s an appropriate location considering that the speaker is long-time Cleveland talent buyer James Carol, who left his seven-year-plus job as a talent booker at the Beachland Ballroom & Tavern in January 2024 to join AEG, the big concert promoter that owns Globe Iron as well as the Agora (It also books Jacobs Pavilion.). He has also been the music director for the Ingenuity Festival since 2016.
