Musicians Union Solidarity Series Features Two Veteran Musicians Sharing Songs and Stories

Bill March

Wed 5/28 @ 7-9PM

The monthly Solidarity Series at the Treelawn on Waterloo Artist District, sponsored by Local 5 of the Musicians Union continues this month with another pair of veteran Cleveland musicians: Bill March and David Novak

Bassist Bill March became known to Cleveland rock audiences in the mid ’80s when he joined ex-Michael Stanley Band member Jonah Koslen’s band the Heroes during their final year. He went from there being one of the founding members of Beau Coup in 1983; that band had several local hits in the 80s. March moved to New York for a few years, before returning to northeast Ohio, continuing to perform with Koslen and doing occasional Beau Coup reunion. He also started to focus on songwriting and released his own music on a pair of EPs in 2018 and 2021.

David Novak is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has played extensively around town as a solo artist and with many bands.

The two will play their own material and tell stories from their careers and what inspired their songs. It’s free, thanks to the union’s sponsorship.
