There’s never a bad time to check out Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood with its density of restaurants, bars, bakeries, galleries and shops. Whether you’re looking for wine, gelato, vintage items or handmade Cleveland souvenirs, you’ll find it hear among the tightly packed houses.
But one of the best times is during the neighbor’s twice-yearly art walk weekends — and the Summer Art Walk is this weekend. You’ll find many studios open, including in the former Murray Hill schoolhouse, with a chance to chat with some of the artists in what was Cleveland’s original arts neighborhood. (Be sure to visit long-time schoolhouse resident, painter Tricia Kaman, who has worked hard to spread the word about the neighborhood’s artists. https://www.triciakaman.com). Plan to take plenty of time to enjoy a meal and a few drinks, and wallow in the history and creative of the area. On Saturday, stop in Tony Brush park on Mayfield where the first of seven artisan & farmers markets, taking place through September 13, will be happening from 1-7pm.
It’s free but you’re going to need this parking information!
