For more than 20 years (with a few breaks when he’s been busy with other things, such as international tours), Northeast Ohio-based guitarist Neil Zaza has been putting together holiday shows called “One Silent Night,” some big and flashy with lots of special guests and some just music-focused.

This one’s likely to be more of the latter, focusing on the melodic instrumental rock that Zaza has taken to Europe and Asia, as well as across the U.S. His press release describes the show “Mozart meets Hendrix under the Christmas Tree,” so you’ll be hearing big rocked-up versions of holiday standards, familiar classical pieces and favorite classic rock tunes, among others. If you’re a fan of great guitar playing, or if you’re a rocker who loves Christmas, you’ll want to be at the show at Akron’s Goodyear Theater.
