Thu 5/22-Sun 5/25
Chagrin Falls Blossom Time is one of the oldest regional festivals, launched by the Chagrin Valley Jaycees in 1956. For four days over the Memorial Day weekend, the city is packed with thousands for people from all over the region enjoying a wide variety of activities.
There’s the Taste of Chagrin with food trucks in the Triangle Park and along Franklin in the middle of town, plus rides in Riverside Park all weekend, music and other entertainment in the Big Top Tent, and vendor booths. There’s the annual Blossom Time Run Sunday morning and the parade Sunday afternoon starting at 2.
Kids Day is Saturday May 24 from 9am-noon in a big tent offering games such as sack races, a pie-eating contest and an egg toss, crafts, kiddie rides, an appearance by Jungle Terry, a DJ playing kid-friendly music, and, most important of all — face painting! Its most distinctive event is the Balloon Glow on Thursday May 22 from 6-10pm where you can watch as a fleet of colorful hot-air balloons are launched aloft at Chagrin Falls High School. There is also a Memorial Day Parade and ceremony on Monday.
Rides require a bracelet but most of the events are free. Get more information here.
