Add Barberton to the long list of places hosting weekend festivals so people can celebrate what’s widely considered the last REAL weekend of summer, even if summer doesn’t officially end until September 21st. The nonprofit Main Street Barberton, which focuses on growing and activating the town’s downtown area, is again presenting its annual festival Labor Day Festival over three days.
It kicks off Friday evening at 6pm when the multiple food stands and beer garden open, craft/handmade vendors open for music and a Beatles tribute band takes the stage for three hours of your favorite Fab Four music. On Saturday and Sunday the action starts at noon, with more food, more beer, more music until 9pm, and special activities for kids. You might want to make note of fireworks, always a big draw, on Saturday at 9:30pm, and a car and motorcycle show Sunday from 1-6pm. Go here for more information.
