The Little Italy Art Walks used to be major events back when the neighborhood was Cleveland’s first artist neighborhood. And while the mix of artist studios, shops, bar and eateries has changed a lot, the art walks have enjoyed a resurgence.
The Little Italy Holiday Art Walk in particular really showcases the charm of this old neighborhood, where you can still find unique shops selling Cleveland souvenirs, plants, handmade prints, housewares imported from Italy, wines, vintage items and more. And while artist studios are fewer, you’ll still find some, along with the boutiques, especially in the old Murray Hill School.
What Little Italy still has in abundance is places to eat and drink, as the aromas wafting into the street with tell you. You can grab a pizza or a sandwich, or sit down at a cozy upscale bistro with a fine-dining menu. It’ll probably be too cold to eat out on the sidewalk, a favorite summertime activity here but you never know. But do plan to eat after enjoying the Christmas cheer out on the street where carols sung by Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin are sure to be heard coming from one business or another.
