Cleveland quartet Deep Sigh isn’t a well-known name in the local music scene, but the release of their first full-length album Selfish Ocean gives them a tool to raise their profile.
“This album plays with themes of introspection, shedding old skins, nostalgia, making changes, tentative optimism and playfulness,” they say. “Essentially the vastness of human emotions and living in the sea of them.” The album’s nine songs address those themes in appealingly dreamy pop/rock tunes with swirling melodies and thoughtful, relatable lyrics.
They’ll celebrate with a show at the Beachland Tavern this weekend. Posture opens.
