Praxis Fiber Workshop & The Sculpture Center Present a Hands-On Crafting Evening

Two local arts organizations are collaborating on an evening when you can be part of the creativity.

The Sculpture Center in University Circle has joined with Praxis Fiber Workshop to host a Community Craft Circle. It takes place in The Sculpture Center’s current exhibition of weavings and collaged textiles by Detroit-based artist Quinn Hunter, titled When the Block Was Long. The exhibit addresses the deliberate destruction of Black neighborhoods in the 20th century through disinvestment, redlining and blockbusting.

Praxis artists will be on hand to teach knitting and crocheting, Materials will be provided or you can bring your own. It’s free and open to all.
