People love a “great lost band who should’ve made it big” story. One of Cleveland’s favorite oft-told stories is of the Hesitations, a local ’60s soul vocal group who had several minor hits in the late 60s with pop cover tunes before disbanding in 1968.
One of its vocalists, Arthur “Art” Blakey, is now performing as The Day Nites, featuring members of the Akron soul groups of the 00s, Wesley Bright and the Hi-Lites, who updated 60s soul for a contemporary audience and for a few years about ten years ago were one of the hottest things happening in Northeast Ohio.
The Day Nites will be performing at Jilly’s Music Room in Akron. Reserve your ticket here.
