After a nearly three-year pandemic hiatus, the monthly Bainbridge swing dances returned to the calendar in January, giving people of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to try out this very social form of dancing.
The dance returns in February to its new location at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls.
The dances start with a lesson at 8pm, for both newbies and more experienced dancers to learn the steps and shake off the dust. Dancing to live music starts at 9pm and goes to 11pm. This month the music will be provided by J. Scott Franklin, whose broad repertoire includes jazz standards and country classics, as well as originals.
The dances are family-friendly and partners aren’t needed; throughout the evening, everyone switches up and gets to dance with a lot of new people. Admission is $15 for adults $10 for kids, $40 for families.
