Lantern Theatre Tells the Sleepy Hollow Story at Dunham Tavern

Sat 10/22 & Sun 10/23 @ 2PM

Cleveland’s Lantern Theatre is known for its thematic, literature-based presentations, tied into a season or holiday, such as its patriotic mash-up of historical American documents for the Fourth of July.

For Halloween, it’s again presenting its own rendition of the 1819 short story by Washington Irving, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The spooky ghost tale of the headless horseman and the subsequent disappearance of a local visitor to a small town has become a Halloween classic.

In 2016, Eric Schmiedl created an adaptation dubbed A Cold, Creepy Reading of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow that draws on music and storytelling. This year it’ll have its sixth annual performances in the barn at the Dunham Tavern Museum & Gardens, with baked goods, coffee and cider to put the audience in a festive mood.

Tickets are $20. Go here to get them.
