This time of year, sunflowers are at their peak, and Ianiro Farm, a five-generation farm in Auburn (18266 Thorpe Road) that harvests and sells maple syrup and makes functional works of art from recycled materials, is eager to share theirs by presenting their first Sunflower Festival.
For two days, visitors are invited to wander among the fields of blooms and pick themselves some sunflowers to take home. There’ll also be donkeys to pet, yard games to play, and local artisans and vintage vendors to shop. You’ll find Nick Ianiro’s carving bowls, jewelry and candles filled with his own candle wax among the handmade offerings.
