Take a Stroll at the First Annual GardenWalk Lakewood

Sat 7/16 @ 10AM-5PM

It all started in Buffalo with their annual GardenWalk, now in its 42nd year, featuring over 300 area gardens and attracting tens of thousands of visitors. Inspired by Buffalo, Cleveland’s own GardenWalk was founded in 2011 by Jan Kious and Bobbi Reichtell to feature Cleveland neighborhoods and their gardeners. It has grown to become a 2-day affair featuring 10 neighborhoods and supported by a non-profit organization to encourage civic pride.

In turn, Lakewood’s Claire Campbell was inspired to start GardenWalk Lakewood in 2022, the first of which takes place on Sat 7/16 from 10am-5pm. The public is welcome to take a self-guided, free tour of some of the most beautiful private gardens in Lakewood.

The cool interactive map on the site makes it super easy to plan your route, easily accessible by walking or by bike to visit the more than 30 participating private gardens. Sign up to receive notices, and register your garden for next year’s GardenWalk. Tread lightly, respect the earth, and admire the hard work and beauty all around us.
