Edgewater NeighborFest Street Fair Reflects the Diverse Community

Sun 6/26 @ noon-6PM

The long-running Clifton Arts & Music Festival in the Edgewater-Cudell neighborhood was reinvented in 2019 as Edgewater  NeighborFest. But it’s still the same lively afternoon of family-friendly activities and games, live performances, artists and makers to shop, and of course, food and drink.

The main stage will feature a variety of performers including a seven-year-old DJ, original hip hop performed by local youth in the Refresh Collective, Jacks Jazz, Showout Line Dancing leading audience participation dances, and a drag show finale sponsored by Twist Social Club, which is also hosting the afterparty and offering specialty cocktails from the Twist Street Bar near the stage in case you need liquid courage to get up and line dance.

There’ll also be an LGBTQ+ Hub with promoting wellness programs and affinity groups, offering free HIV/STD testing, and sharing information about the new Studio West 117 LGBTQ+ Hub opening soon just a couple of blocks away. And a resource fair will connect people with services provides by organizations such as the Cleveland Public Library and Cleveland Job Corps, among others.

Kids’ activities include magic shows, a balloon animal artist and puppetry, as well as free books from the Cleveland Kids Book Bank. But you may find them drawn to the Pets Pop-Up, where, in addition to pet items for sale, City Dogs will be bringing some of their adoptable adorables, and your kids may be going “Mommy, daddy. Let’s bring him home!”

Edgewater NeighborFest is free and open to all.
