In the past year, Literary Cleveland has been working on a project to give a voice to the so-called “essential workers,” who endangered their own health and lives to provide services to people during the pandemic. It’s put together a virtual anthology called Voices from the Edge, which features writing, including poetry and prose, by these workers themselves, sharing their stories. They include doctors and nurses, home health care aides and food service workers, among others.
Literary Cleveland is now hosting a free, virtual launch party for the anthology, where some of the contributors will read from their pieces and the new online anthology will be reveals. Go here to register for the event.
