The Waterloo Arts District’s monthly art walk for July as blessed with lovely weather, making strolling the street and visiting the businesses and galleries a pleasure. Praxis Fiber Workshop opened a new show of work by four young artists who work in textiles, while photographer Patricia Winfield hosted a pop-up show in her rental house on East 156th, a few steps off Waterloo. CrossLens celebrated a year on the street with a multi-day party in its garden called Marcus Fest after CrossLens founder. And Article gallery/studios showed new work by its resident artists
Other spaces, including Matt Shiffler Photography, Waterloo Arts, Photocentric, Deep Dive Art Projects and Framed, gave people a chance to see shows they might have missed last month. And the lilies were at their peak.
