PHOTOSTREAM: Rooms to Let CLE by Anastasia Pantsios

07.10-11.2019 Rooms To Let CLE

Sat 7/10-Sun 7/11

After skipping last year, Rooms to Let CLE returned to Slavic Village in an entirely different format. Instead of artist installations in condemned houses scheduled to be torn down and activities in adjacent lots, everything took place outdoors around the intersection of East 55th and Broadway, with art in empty store windows and tables set up on the street featuring everything from information about the Slavic Village Historical Society to artist Dana Depew woking on his reclaimed wood projects and giving away flowers. Vendors lined the back parking lot and music was performed on two stages include a “Sacred Sound Space” garden which also featured working artists, installations and a crafts table for all ages.

Things were curtailed a bit on Sunday due to the early rain, but the streets were still bustling will activity.
