Beck Center’s #BeckAtHome and Telehealth Music Therapy Keeps Kids & Families Creatively Engaged

Lakewood’s Beck Center for Arts is currently closed, like every place else. But it’s attempting to keep its students engaged and fighting boredom with its #BeckAtHome program.

It’s posted Beck Bingo cards, which invite participants to engage in various creative activities in their own homes and post videos or photos as they complete each square, using the #BeckAtHome hashtag. Activities include playing an instrument, family movie night, singing to a relative over the phone, cooking a meal, having a dance party, trying a new hobby, displaying your art work, and watching a #BeckAtHome video.

Go here to play. Go here to learn more about what’s going on at the Beck Center during the pandemic and how they’re addressing upcoming scheduled events.

The Beck Center has just announced that they are providing Telehealth Music Therapy, and they are welcoming new clients seeking to experience the health benefits of music therapy during these challenging times. Contact ltravillian@beckcenter.org.
