Fri 11/8 & Sat 11/9
Just a decade ago, dancers Megan Gargano and Rebecca J. Leuzler, founded the Movement Project, a modern dance ensemble and dance school for both children and adults, based in Tremont. More recently, they launched the annual Cleveland Dance Fest, now in its fourth year. This year’s event will feature four performances, showcasing the work of 35 choreographers, both Clevelanders and visiting artists, and eight master classes.
The performances include two showcases, an emerging works concert and a youth showcase, in the early evening, with classes from 9am-2pm Saturday.
It all takes place at Tremont’s Pilgrim Church. Tickets for the two main shows at 8pm each day are $16 in advance, $18 at the door. The emerging works and youth showcase (which take place immediately before the evening events) are $14. A festival pass, covering all shows, is $52. A single class is $14; a master class pass, good for all classes, is $48. (There are two tracks of classes; pro and youth).
