CSU’s Cleveland Winds Play Tenth Anniversary Concert

Sun 11/17 @ 7PM

One of many small music ensembles in northeast Ohio playing professional-level classical music, the Cleveland State University-based Cleveland Winds, led by music director Dr. Birch Browning, is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

It will hold a celebratory concert at CSU’s Waetjen Auditorium with a program that includes performances of Adam Gorb’s 1996 Awayday, Gustav Holst’s Hammersmith: Prelude and Scherzo and Ron Nelson’s 1992 Passacaglia (Homage on B-A-C-H). Dr. Joseph Parisi from the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory will join them as guest conductor. The program also includes performances by the University Heights Symphonic Band (now in its 50th season) and Cleveland State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

The concert is free and open to all.
